SandScript is the visual arts and literature magazine of Pima Community College and is published annually in the spring semester. SandScript is a showcase for the writing and visual art of the Pima student body, and highlights the immense creativity and talent of Pima students.

Established in 1990, SandScript has produced 32 print editions. Starting in 2020, SandScript launched the digital edition of the magazine, and in 2023, the digital issue was expanded beyond a reproduction of the print edition and contained additional works by Pima students. Additonally, the visual art of SandScript 2023 is showcased in the 360 Visual Arts gallery.

SandScript has received first place prize in the National Contest for Collegiate Magazines held by the Community College Humanities Association for five years in a row, from 2015-2019. The contest was on hold during the pandemic years, and upon resumption, SandScript won awards for poetry and visual arts submissions in the 2022 edition.

All works are created by the diverse body of Pima students, and the magazine is produced by students enrolled in “Literary Magazine Workshop” (WRT 162), capped at 12 students. The editorial board consists of Pima students and one faculty advisor. All submissions are read blind, and acceptances are determined based on staff discussion and voting. Each issue is curated, edited, and designed entirely by the editorial board, who come from a variety of academic backgrounds and disciplines.
